The impact on employees

The knowledge gained by being involved in an E_ learning project is insurmountable. From developing a Learner Management system from a blank canvass, to liaising with all the stakeholders to being involved with a Virtual Simulation concept has been eye opening.

Other areas include the guidelines in which you need to adhere to including accessibility and copywriting (to name but a few) which are something that you literally do not consider until you attend the require workshops.

Already, I think it would be prudent to start to compile a "things gone wrong list ," which would be a good starting point for the next project!

The impact of E-Learning on Business?

From a project perspective, the planning, negotiation, collaboration and reflection required to successfully implement an E_Learning concept serves only to upskill, add value and build strong partnerships between business partners and is the unique selling point of a blended learning environment.

A more obvious benefit however is the unique selling point of a blended learning approach using existing proven resources alongside an online alternative. This enables RTO's to differentiate their services and gives the end user more choice.

In terms of project management, there needs to be a bureaucratic style of leadership to ensure project deliverables, however there is an equal requirement of entrepreneurial skills to deliver an innovative product also.

How has funding helped?

My own personal opinion is that the funding attributed to this project has allowed for a world class simulation to be developed alongside a niche set of Competitive Manufacturing units, namely the Just - In - Time philosophy..

Regarding future business, it is my opinion that the unique selling point of Innovative E_Learning projects is the fact that there could be a possibility of funding to allow certain organisations to dip their toe in the water.
